There is a lot of confusion around food and what our bodies need for health. As a dietitian, I will offer you dietary advice based on the current scientific research. I trained at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) as a dietitian and aim to bring you the best of the research to help meet your dietary needs.
Each client will receive a thorough assessment which will include your treatment goals, medical condition(s), medications and supplements, and your living situation to help me determine the level of intervention that will suit your needs, and a diet analysis. From there I will determine what are the key areas you will need to change and walk you through how to go about implementing those dietary adjustments. These adjustments may be small to large depending on how confident you are in your ability to change.
I have experience in helping people with diabetes, inflammatory conditions, weight management issues, sports nutrition, allergies and intolerances, eating disorders, special diets (e.g. vegan, gluten free), anaemia, diverticular disease, malnutrition and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
I aim to be non-judgemental with all my clients, to provide a safe place, so that we can explore and problem solve your dietary issues together.
I am the mother of 3 adult children, and so recognise the challenges associated with parenting. I understand the frustrations with feeding a healthy balanced diet to children who don’t agree with your views on health and/or who have challenging dietary needs. I am also aware of the time it can take to provide a healthy balanced diet especially when there are extra challenges due to allergies/intolerances.
